Terms of Service

2.1 IPFS Pinning Services

Porcupin provides IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) pinning services including:

• Upload and pinning of user files to IPFS networks
• Re-pinning of existing IPFS content by hash or URL
• Automated wallet monitoring and pinning of Tezos NFT metadata (when available)
• Pin management and monitoring dashboard
• Usage tracking and plan enforcement

2.2 Service Availability

We make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain service availability. However, service availability is inherently dependent on the IPFS network and third-party infrastructure providers. We do not guarantee specific uptime percentages or continuous availability.

2.3 Pin Maintenance

We guarantee re-pinning of your content at least once per month per active pin to refresh it in the IPFS pool and maintain availability, provided your account remains in good standing and your subscription is current.

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3.2 Credit-Based System

Our service operates on a credit-based system where you purchase credits and pay for actual usage. There are no hard limits - you can pin unlimited files and use unlimited storage as long as you have sufficient credits to cover the costs.

3.3 Payment Terms

• Subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected billing period
• Payment is due immediately upon subscription creation or renewal
• We accept credit card payments via Stripe and cryptocurrency payments via Tezos and other select coins
• For cryptocurrency payments, it is your responsibility to ensure payment is made with sufficient time to avoid service interruption

3.4 Refund Policy

4.1 Prohibited Content

You may not use our Service to pin or store:

• Illegal content under US federal or California state law
• Copyrighted material without proper authorization or outside fair use
• Content that violates third-party intellectual property rights
• Malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Content intended to harass, threaten, or harm others

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Engage in excessive addition and deletion of pins or otherwise abusive usage patterns
• Share account credentials or attempt to avoid payment for services
• Use automated systems to abuse our service or API endpoints
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise our systems
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5.1 IPFS Network Dependencies

Our Service relies on the IPFS network and third-party infrastructure providers (including Pinata). We cannot guarantee data integrity, availability, or persistence beyond our direct control. The function of the IPFS network is outside our scope of responsibility.
